The reactions of Prime Time Russia's news anchors are priceless -- the guy is clearly scared of uttering anything remotely amused or even neutral about the video, but the uptight woman next to him really goes off like she's talking about a heinous crime of some sort!
Sure this media ploy isn't the most high brow tactic, but is it really that offensive in 2011? I can think of much worse things that these women could be doing with their time. (Much, much worse, lol)
Wonder how these news anchors respond to reports about women who lack the general freedoms that allow for such "controversial" behavior. Somehow I doubt the female news anchor's reaction would be as strong if, say, the video was about burqa-wearing Middle Eastern women getting "political" in front of the cameras...a rusty car wash may be the funnest thing these Russians have going on in their day and it won't make a real dent in Putin's political future anyway (though it will help his mainstream social capital), so isn't it just for fun?
Hating isn't feminism, ladies! Relax!
