(Due to Typepad’s servers being down on and off for the past couple of weeks, I unfortunately haven’t been able to blog as much as I’d like this month.)
A bit belated, here is the iconic Shanghai skyline taken from the north end of the Bund a few nights ago. The Huangpu River, the final tributary of the Yangtze River before the East China Sea, runs along downtown Shanghai and is quite busy at all hours of the day. One can even opt to take a five-minute ferry straight across to get to the downtown area from where this photo was taken. Once the sun sets, these neon-lit river cruises add to the splendid lights of the world’s largest city.
